Am I the only one who thinks 2nd gen looks the best?

RE: Am I the only one who thinks 2nd gen looks the best?
A friend bought a 3rd gen 4.7 4 door. I took it for a spin and it was nice but felt more like a car. Not like my wife's accord or anything, but defenitly not like my truck. My truck has a nice ride, but you still know that it 's a truck. Aslo the stance is alot different. I could defenitly benefit from having some side steps on my truck and I only have a two leveling kit on it. His 3rd gen has side steps and you don't even need them. I am sure with some mods you could grow to love one. I bet if I got to drive the SRT/10 I would change my opinion.

I have a second gen SC SB. I wish they never got rid of the utility bed (stepside). Third gens look good in some configs. but I'll never buy one. 4 DR. crew cabs have there place in a truck line up, but I couldn't believe it when they totally dropped the extended cab. Do they think everybody's dragging 5 passengers all the time? I kinda like the Ford F250 SB's (the way they look anyway)

I have to agree that the 2nd gen have a meaner stance and seem to say get the hell outta my way while the 3rd gen look like they want to blow you with that big ugly grill. The new 06 grill is better but the headlights are too big

3rd Gens, they just don't look right. To much windshied and hood a few buddies have 3rd gens. Put us together and the 2nd gen has a meaner stance to me. Smaller grill with the headlights looks like a snarle, The 3rd's look like a clown smile. Sorry, no disrespect to them but. The body line just don't do it for me either, The 2nd's have the wheel well flares. In all like I said it just looks meaner.

I won't be buying a new 3rd gen until they offer a decent (read big) gas engine. I don't like oilburners and the little over-hyped Hemi doesn't have enough grunt for my towing needs in a 2500 or 3500 application. Bring back the 10 or offer me a torque monster 500 CID V8 option and I'll be first in line with money in hand

I have to say that when I saw my first 2nd gen Ram (Osan, Korea '94) I thought it was the ugliest thing on the road. Couldn't get past the huge grill. Now, I love them. Like the 3rd gens for other reasons too. Not fond of the new '06 headlamps. Too big. We still have plans to own a 3rd gen CTD sometime in the new future (if that next stripe happens). Gotta have that Cummins 600! 2nd gens look more like a beefier working truck. 3rds look softer.
