fastman tb
I notice a big difference. Alot better throttle response through the entire power band. Just seemed like it picked the truck up a bit. Like you had a little extra push. Made it a whole lot more fun to drive. But what I say is a big difference may not be the same to you. But I did some research before I got mine and it seemed like everyone loved thiers, so I whent with it and love mine too. Didn't gain any gas milege out of it though![:@]
ive been wonderin the same thing 20dodgeram01 was wondering.... but a 'big difference' or a 'noticible difference' is different to everyone.
does anyone have a quarter mile time before/after the fastman tb..... or is it not THAT noticible?
btw not tryin to steal the thread 20dodgeram01, just tryin to get a more understandable answer

HI HAS ANYONE SEEN THE 50MM ONES SELLING ON EBAY. I WAS WONDERIND IF ANYONE HAS TRIED ONE OF THOSE.http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...MEWA%3AIT&rd=1
That is what I got. When it arrived me and a friend of mine who has a fastman on his dodge 5.2 did some comparisons. First, we compared the measurements of the ebay model to the fastman that my friend has on his truck. All of the measurements were within a .005". So next we ran each one on my truck, leaving everything else the same from one run to the next. We did some 0 - 60 times down a straight patch of road near my house. We did three passes with each truck with the groups of three passses being done within 30 minutes of each other. Overall, the 0 - 60 runs came out to the ebay throttle body having an average advantage of .04 seconds. After seeing the nearly identical measurements and 0 - 60 times, I was very happy with my purchase and then went out with the money I saved and bought myself some more stuff for my truck.
i really like the things people have to say about these fastman tb's, but i still have a question.
how come 50mm is enough for our trucks? ive seen throttle bodies as big as 60mm on a N/A neon.... a tiny four cylinder.
is that just other peoples fault for gettin a tb bigger than they need?? when i first looked at these it just jumped out to me that 50mm was so small. o well if it helps that much, ill get one when i get the money
if anyone can answer the 50mm question id appreciate it.

o yea two more questions i forgot to ask in that last post-
Off_Road_Teacher-
you said you did a 0-60 test- you said stated the difference between the ebay tb and the fastman, but did you record the difference between the fastman and stock? if so please post it.
and also does anyone know the original size of the stock throttle bodies? thanx.

I highly recommend that you look up the contact info on the Fastman website, and give Dan Arcand a call. I spoke with him several times before I bought my TB. He described the testing they had done to come to the conclusion that 50mm was best for the 5.2, 52mm for the 5.9. He is a wealth of knowledge, and can answer any question you have if you are on the fence.
My personal opinion is that it is still one of the best mods I have done, well worth the price.
