Default Tach Wire

Can anyone tell me where a good place to tap into the tach signal wire is??
Also what color/tracer it is?

The info I had says blk/gry @ ign switch harness, turned out not to be true?????
I did find a wire in a separate shrinktubed harness along side the ign switch harness, it looks blk/gry, but because of the way it is wrapped and separated I am worried it may be a part of the Airbag sys?

Thanks in advance y'all

Tach Black/Gray PCM Passenger's Rear of Engine on Firewall

i know it sounds nuts... but you know where your PCM is? bolted to the firewall on the passenger side that has like a billion wires running into it? well your TRUE tach signal and the only one that should be used will be in there... assuming your installing a remote start? or an aux tach? either way this wire should be used.... sift through the wiring... its going to be a black wire with a small gray stripe in it... if you have any troubles lemme know.

ok when the original directions said for the ignition coil... there is a black and grey wire that goes into a connecter on the underside of the coil... if you look at the ignition coil theres a connecter clicked into it up underneath..kinda hard to see.. if you undo that conector and pull back the wire loom youll see 2 wires.. a green and orange and a black and grey..the black and grey is the one they are talkin about.. that could be an option in the event its hard to find that same wire at the PCM end... there the same wire..just easier to access it near the coil...
