Default Magnaflow High Flow Cat

I am looking to order a magnaflow high flow cat off ebay and I was wondering if anyone knows the part number for the one that fits a 2001 5.2 ram 1500. Mine is starting to rattle, so I figured it is time to upgrade.

i orderd this one :::::

if you look it says between 94 to 99 for the years... i ordered it b/c i got stiffed hardcore from the jackass at the performance peddler on ebay... his name is jeff hawkin and screwed me hardcore .. i had to wait an extra 2 weeks b/c he never shipped my cat.... but he's got the cats from magnaflow that are listed for 2001's

i have an 01 and the 94 to 99 cat fit great!!!!!! the only thing that gave me a problem is that the aft bung for the O2 sensor is a little farther back... so i had to lengthen the leads for the connector... i cut and rewired the wires but then i realized that theres a wire keeper thats plugged into the top side of the tranny heat sheild... just poped out that wire keeper and gives you the extra 5 inches you need to reach it...

other then that went great! i welded all the fittings to enusre no leaks.. and i also dispise clamps!!!

So you DID need to used the pipes that came with it? it wouldn't go on the stock set-up?

If you don't mind a little fabing a magna flow 94006 will work just fine. 2.5 in/out just cut out the old and weld in the new.

with the cat i posted above is far less fabbing required then using the cat badram described..

when it says direct fit .. it means direct fit... unbolt the OEM downtubes from the exhaust manifolds going to the inlet of the cat and saw off a few inches aft of the cat output... bolt the new one in and weld the new output of the cat to the existing exhaust system...

the cat i piced above comes as 2 peices... one peice includes a downpipe already welded to the cat and the outlet pipe already fitted and fixed tot he aft of the cat..the other peice is another downpipe that needs to be welded to the inlet of the cat....

its really easy! could even use clamps if you want

oh yea... big time... but again i installed my headers at the same time....

the only thing i dont like about the cat is that it emmits a noise..its hard to explain... ya know how the engine runs right when the vehicle is brand new? purrs quite ...almost cant hear it? well this is nothing like it.... like right under the passenger side its loud... no leaks or anything... just loud... feels like the piping of the cat and the metalskin of the cat itself is thinned walled... drives me nuts!
