Turns Over- No Start Gauges don't come Alive
2001 1500 5.9 Truck turns over fine. The gauges never come alive but the dash light/indicators all work. If I leave the key in the ON position, it tells me "NO BUS"
Any Ideas?

the "no buS" thing comes up when you program the truck through the OBDII port using a hypertech programer... not sure of other ones do it too like superchips etc etc....but i know the hypertech does it... makes me think you may have a bad pcm or some wires shorted near the OBDII port under the dash...
have you had the pcm programed recently ? if so was anything interupted during the program? if so i could imagine this doing it..

well wen i put the superchip in my 98 nouthiung came up on the display but i have the older style led one not the lcd one on the newer ones, i agree with something to do with the pcm to you have a progermer? see if you can get any codes out of it
Go for the easy first:
Check the fuses and disconnect the battery and clean the terminals real good.
Dad left the lights on after dropping the boat in the water(Iwas in theboat)
I had to use the boat battery when we got back and it threw a hissy fit and wouldn't start till after 3 disconnects.

I haven't had any programming changed and I do not use an aftermarket chip. It's completely stock. I disconnected the battery once but it made no diff. The fuel gauge never moves even though I know there is 3/4 of a tank. I took the gas cap off and put back on just in case there was a vacuum issue. It tried to start a couple of times but never would.
Did you check the fuses?
If you have a means, also check or take the batter to get checked under a load.
Make sure you leave the battery disconnected at least 1 minute before tring again.
Can you hear the fuel pump turn on when the ignition is turned on? How many miles are on the truck?

I have almost 130,000 on it. I don't hear the fuel pump come on but I did try some starting fluid. No go. I will try holding to start for a moment when I disconnect the neg termnal. Just happened out of the blue. Up to this point, it's been a great truck.
Well, I found the issue. The plug to the PCM nearest the driver didn't seem to have a good connection. When I pushed on it, the fuel gauge came alive and I heard the fuel pump start. Truck started right up. Good ol' truck
