Is there any way to get rid of the factory rev limiter. I have an accel setup and I want a little more revs and I don't like the fact that the stock one cuts fuel instead of spark.
My Hypertech programmer will let you set the rev limiter to what you want. I see you have a Mopar PCM already, so I don't know if that would work. The rev limiter is set by the computer itsself. The thing is, however, unless you have an upgraded cam and ported heads - the motor is not going to make more power at higher rpms. You run a chance of blowing it up for no gain unless you mod the internal parts to match the external mods.
I understand that but I just want a little more out of it so when it shifts I'm in the power for third gear. As far as blowing it up it will give me an excuse to build something sick.
well since you have the mopar pref pcm alredy i dont think you wanna put a superchip/hypertec in there, id see if you can find one of those places that will custom tune your pcm im shure they can do it
