Default EXHAUST TIPS

Anyone have those Megs exhaust tips? They claim the improve tone and sound. Just looking for opinions on 'em. I don't want to spend the $$$ on them if the sound like crap.

How about the Hooker Header tips with the resonators?

From my experience, the larger the exhaust tip...the worse the sound gets. They usually make the exhaust raspier as you move up in size. And if you have duals straight out the back, you may end up with exhaust all over...the larger you go. I've seen it happen on some vehicles...and not happen on others.

The hooker tips will probably be your best bet at a slightly better sound. Either that, or a borla tip. Corsa makes good exhaust components as well.

Usually the larger the pipe the deeper the sound. Small pipes get the crackling sound. Then again you need to consider what is ahead of the tips also. After the chrome ones rusted out I had the stainless installed. Need some cleaning big time.

I agree, stay away from chrome tips. Nothing but a pain.
