NICE SHOP!!!!! Makes my garage look like a tuna can. Once you break 80,000, timing chains are usually ready to replace. You shouldn't have to worry about that for a while.

Yeah its really nice in there, I'm really lucky to be able to have access to something like that. The schools actually only 11 years old, so its really new for a school. Can't see to much in that picture, but theres 2 Rotary Hydralic Lifts (the kind the red cars on) and 1 Drive on Alighment Lift and PLENTY of floor room for cars. Theres about 8 retractable air hoses hanging from the ceiling, as well as retractable trouble lights. Another cool thing is theres 4 hoses on the wall (you can kind of see them hanging by the garage doors) you put those on the exhaust pipe and turn the fans on so it sucks all the exhaust outside if you need to have the car running when its to cold to have the doors open.

This program actually hasn;t even been mentioned to be cut (knock on wood). It is totally self sufficient, they get all there money from grants and scholorships from places like Mac Tools, GM, Ford ect. You wouldn't beleive how much money they get every year just for new tools and stuff if I told you. At the begining of every year he orders about $6-8k of tools that just broke of are missing from the year before, and trust me, that doesn't even dent the budget.

One day when I'm a billionare I'll ahve all that at my house

Holy crap! Thats garage heaven!! Our shop was dark and unventilated that we constantly had the garage doors up and more shop lights burning than I could count. My highschool shop was in Minot, ND. I think we were 5 miles from the end of the earth

How difficult would you say the install was? What brand/type timing chain did you install? Im looking to put in a new timing chain very shortly...

awsome... glad to hear its all better...

I like the pic showing the timing chain slop... you just need to tighten the other 3 fingers a hair or two

mine had more slop than that. what about the intake mods, at 4 hours it doesnt sound like you did any.

I am running the original timing chain at 160,000 miles... How hard would it be for me just to check and see how tight it is?

for the amount of work it is to get to a point to check it... your 1 bolt away from swapping it out... (cam bolt)
