Default problems

Hello I am brand new to this forum, I have a 99 ram 4x4 5.9 with 150.000 miles on it with in the past three months I have been having a Idoling problem, it is speratic it dosnt happen all the time Ill start the truck and sometimes it starts to get a rough idol and wants to flood out took it to the garage several codes came up we changed out the map sensor and cleaned two others it said it was running too rich?? had the ECM rebuilt and they said there was some type of vaccume leak but Ill be dammend if i can find it! any help out there?????

Welcome to DF! Where glad to have you aboard, sorry to here about your idoling problem! You might want to try posting problems like this directly in the Ram section we have here. Some if the guys don't check the newbie post often but are hard core helpers within the specific Ram section we have here!

If you're running rich it could be an O2 sensor or a idle position sensor.

what were the codes that you were getting. Did repalcing any of the mentioned parts help or make it worse?

hey chooch did you ever figure out what your problem was? i'm having the same problem, and i replaced both o2 sensors and its still happening..

Have you checked your plenum? Gone looking for vacuum leaks? How old are your tune up parts?

I had very bad idol problems, got a new battery and I was golden.
