if your only running 2 lights on a realy you only need 14 gauge wire here is a rule of thumb too 130W lights should be fused at 30amps so you want a realy that will out do that most realys are 40 amps something else to keep in mind

Def use heavier switch with relay. It'll save yooou alot of hassel down the road. The relay will take the load or draw and save you from changing alot of switches
ORIGINAL: muddy_blue_dodge

so im tryin to figure out more about off roading lights.
thanx for any input
i'm lookin at a site right now (www.4wheelcustoms.com) and it has some nice lights. the pro-comp lights that im looking at, however, you have to buy the switch seperately (only about 10-14 bucks). but they have two options for the light switches- "Pro Comp Light Switch Kit single mini for 2 lights" and the other option is "Pro Comp Single Heavy Duty Switch Kit w/relay for 2 lights"

what does the heavy duty mean? the lights i want are 100 watt if that affects it.
