RE: 100 mph?
ive had mine up to about 105(ish)..... wasnt lookin at the speedo as much as the road
then i remembered that on that same road ive come close to hittin about 3 or 4 deer, and figured things would get ugly takin one out at that speed, and slowed down. anyways i dont do that much anymore cuz i was with a buddy goin about 90 and he lost control and we spun, miraculously (sp?) didnt flip, and yea now im too nervous to go that fast.
so yall be careful, especially in these huge trucks.

RE: 100 mph?
I'm not sure what rear gear I have in my truck, sure it is stock (3.55?) I had mine well over 110mph the other day and it felt like it could keep going. Not bad for a stock 318 huh? Does the MSD box eliminate the rev limiter? I know my dads 01 Dakota limited out at like 112, I found that out when I was an immature 16 year old. lol

RE: 100 mph?
the msd doenst illiminate it..but the hypertech does... you can program the rev limit +100 incriments up to an extra 500... so itll revlimit at 5500 instead of the stock readline 5000... and now that i think about it... i can program the speed limit to 126, or 118... i wonder what stock speed limit is...

RE: 100 mph?
I think the Hypertech will be my next mod after I finish building my cold air intake and after I finish the nightmare of installing the Summit exhaust system I got. After that I'll probably be digging into the plenum gasket and timing chain adventure.......what fun!!http://www.autoforumuniverse.com/ads....edelbrock.com

do these trucks shut off at a certain speed? like some cars will shut off at 100 even if the speedo goesup to 120... maybe ill go test it out . NOT lol

no they dont auchually shut off however they do have a stock rev limeter at 5200 as im shure you know and there isent any point in going over that ither also the trucks are susposto be governed to 118 mph the truck wont shut off it just wont get any faster. now pepoles speedos are off a bit so some will say they cut out at 115 some say 120 but unless you have revoved it your restricted to 118mph and unless you have done some suspention mods, speed rated tires you dont wanna go much faster or thell be scraping you off the road with a shovel

RE: 100 mph?
I actually beat a chevy 5.3L extended cab this weekend... he shut off at around 97-99mph and I was already half a truck length ahead so I deceided to just stay in it... I let off at around 115...
Before any mods my truck did that same 100 mph give up thing... The tach would stick at about 3000rpm and the truck seemed like it had a governor on it....
My advice? force more air into that bad boy... that is all I've done and the truck didn't even blink at 100 this time...
