About 3 months ago I started to restore my 94 ram 1500. Here are some picts I took along the way.

After 6 coats of paint. Thats right 6 coats of Glasurit paint

Now that the body is almost complete I will start on the interior next. This post will be continued.

 

dang man!!! that looks AWESOME...you do autobody often? looks like you know what your doing... you spray yourself? thats another thing i gotta get better at is metal fabing and spraying... im decent but i got ALOT to learn... thing looks brand new!!!

keep us posted on how it goes!!! is that your own shop you did the work in? 6 coats? damn..that thing will be bullitproof...

you should do a how to/ DIY write up on that panel you welded in..im sure alot of guys would like to know the basic steps..including me...

Thanks. I have been in and out of the body shop bussiness for many years. I mainly turn wrenches. The body shop is at my work. As far as spraying I had our painter Pattie shoot the outside of it for me. She has been painting for 25 years at the same shop. Alot more booth time than I'll ever have. All other work I have done myself. Next on the list after putting the body back togather is the interior. Then next will be the engine. At 182k it still runs good but i wana freashen it up.

 

you gotta build the motor up or just freshen it up? any details?

 

I'll prob beef it up a little. Bigger cam, open up the exhaust and intake a little. Nothing to major.

 

You gotta little paint on your tires, you better burn that off, and take pics of that too

 

lol iwas thikning the same thing..best way to get overspray off tires... is burn the hell out of them!!!!

cant wait to see the rest of the rebuild!!!! pics to us is like candy to kids... cant get enough of them1!!!!!!!

 

Haha. I'll burn it off just for you guys. Actually though rims and tires are coming real soon. Thats why I wasn't real worried about them. The neft bars are at the anodizers. Front bumper and new style emblems should be here early this week. I'll post more picts as soon as I get more done.
