yall who think buyin 2500 coils would be best-- two questions- would one need a spring compressor to get it to fit? and also do you have to get those from a junkyard or do you order 2500 replicas online?

i've been looking into the same thing. from what i've read, 2500 springs is what you should do. 3500 springs will only give you a stiffer ride, no more height. but you would also need an add a leaf kit to lift up the back. there are some guys online that have done it and said they were happy. im just waiting to get some more cash and then get everything myself and get it done. but im in no rush since i just put new tires on, and if i do this, im sure i'd want bigger tires to fill up the space.
The 3500 springs shouldn't have any harsher of a ride than the 2500 springs, if the trucks are both rated for the same GVWR.

I would agree with the off-road package suggestion though. You're going to have a harsher ride with the 3/4 ton springs. You wouldn't have that with off-road package springs.

2500 desie springs will give you like 2-3" if Im correct. For the rear you can do an add a leaf or blocks, you really dont need new front shocks, but it is recommended with the 3" lift. I put the top gun customz kit and it was about 189 plus 35 for shipping. Great priced kit and it was a 3" lift kit
black97sport, if you dont mind me asking...what eas included in that kit for $189 + shipping? i think i may be able to get aftermarket 2500 springs & add a leafs for pretty cheap. but if the kit really comes with more things, then it might be worth looking into that instead. thanks.

Also for 2500 springs, look at the V-10 ones, there comparable to the diesel ones, since both motors are HEAVY.

I will be putting my 3 inch skyjacker in my V-10 here shortly, cant wait, jsut too lazy to get around to do it.
