Default twisted wires

i am procrastinating on changing my plugs wires and cap now that i have seen where the distributor is. looking at the old mopar wires they have good some pretty sharp twists and turns in them. the way they are run is pretty tricky and i ddnt think the wires were suppose to have sharp turns or bends. should i just route them the same way they are now or can i change the routes to make it less complicated and more straight foward.

You need to make sure each wire connects to the same terminal on the distributor cap where it was with the mopar wires

Twists and turns are fine as long as they are not kinks and knots. Have fun.....

Run them as close to the way they were from the factory as you can. I have read posts on this and other forums that detailed misfire problems caused by mis-routing of the wires. I did mine by removing all the wires from the dist. cap, changing the cap and rotor, and then replacing one wire at a time. It helps to have a diagram of the order the wires go on the cap. Theres one on a recent post here somewhere if you need it. I even removed the split-loom from the fact. wires and put it on the new wires just to be safe. It will take you a good 1-3 hours to replace the cap, rotor, wires, and plugs. Helps also to remove the air cleaner, and get a large piece of cardboard or something to lay over the front of the engine and rad. to make it easier to lay on it.

Try to make sure the wires are routed like this:
