Nope, there were a few calls but I think the milage scared them (170k). This truck is not for everyone in it's current state. it needs a wrencher who is not afraid of opening it up to do the simple things like adjusting the rockers. If there is no interest within the next few weeks, i'm gonna pull some stuff off and sell them separately, then lower the asking price on it. I'm asking 11k for it right now.

here are the pics of the new truck that I took @ lunch with the leveling kit added.

Well, there you go... borrow a crappy camera, get crappy results. here are the pics I took @ lunch... they suck.

You ARE going to put bigger tires on it....aren't you? Looks kinda funny to me - maybe its just the pics.......I like it though. What are you getting for mileage?

huh? bigger tires?

hell yeah! just cant decide on a rim. found the tire I want but the rim side kinda sucks.
Drew (another CTD owner memeber here on DF) has a mix he recommends of 3:1 of power service diesel and MMO (mystery oil stuff), with that, i'm at about 18 combined. w/o im at 16. pays for itself pretty quick.

18?? COOL! Wish mine would get that.....I know what you mean on rims - too many choices. Thats one reason I have stuck with my stock ones........

hell yeah it's cool. it's not even broke in yet (15k miles). I'm told it takes around 30~40k w/o towing, or up to 20k w/towing. right now i dont have anything to tow so I guess I have to wait a year or so before the milage "improves" even more. the additive mix is pretty cool... run a tank w/o it and you can feel the difference. add it and it's very noticeable. I think the cost is around $4 bux a tank for a 34 gallon tank. so that's not bad at all.

I want to get a 325 65r18 tire which is about the same size as the 2000 ram tires in height. they are pretty damn wide but with the right rim, there should be no problem. as it sits now, it should clear 35's

I'm thinking about these rims... what do you guys think?

You could always pull the old Ram or the Dakota around for a couple of afternoons The rims look decent and with the white will definitely stand out alot, even with all the rubber your gonna toss on it.

It does look wierd right now because you have such a huge gap sitting between the tires/wheel wells. It's a nice truck and I hope you find a buyer!

yeah, IDK about those rims.. the tiresize I have though is close to 34" per the mfg website spec sheet. it's about the same size as what's on the 2000.

it would have been nice to find a truck that already had rims & tires on it, then I wouldnt have this problem :-)

are you going thru www.4wheelparts.com ? they are still having a sale on orders thru tomorrow... check it out

It's probably just the way the truck is sitting... or the way I was holding the camera... oops wait, no beers for me so it must be the truck. lol

the wife thinks I should get the same ones that are on the 2000... she also thinks I should wait until the truck is sold before getting new rims & tires. I hate to be shopping like this... it's a huge distraction and I have other things to be doing...
