Default Transmission removal

I'm halfway done pulling the trans out my truck. Before I drop it does anybody know if I need to drop the exhaust or the back crossmember or can i get it out without removing?Any tricks or info would be great!
Thanks!

Well,
I pulled my trans, shouldn't the torque converter come right off. Anybody know how to get it off?
Thanks!

It should fall right off. You may have to tap on it with a rubber mallet or deadblow hammer.

I have tried everything, it won't come off. Weird! Maybe this explain my problems. Should it feel tight and smooth when it is on there becuase this feels really loose.
Thanks!

As said earlier, it should fall right off...the dozen or so trans replacements I've done on various vehicles, it pulls right off...ya got me...maybe it's seized to the input shaft from overheating?? No clue other than that.

It was frozen on the pump bearing. New pump, converter and other goodies. I was told to take the check valve off and knock the center out. Better flow, better cooling. Also the difference between the trans fluid is just a additive so you don't have to spend $$$$ on the certain fluid(oil) it calls for.
Thanks guys!
J.
