go ricer and put your gauges as a non-digital clock, an outside temperature gauge, etc etc.

So you are saying that I should just put something in there to take up space?? I don't really know any other types of gauges to use on a gas truck.

My electric trans temp gauge goes to 250. If I ever see temps that high, I am in serious trouble. Why would you need higher then that?

All,
Autometer makes several different pod options for our Rams. single (15204), double (17202, 15203), and triple (17201, 17203) a-pillar pods, single steering coumn pod (15012, which I have), and triple dash mounted pod (15002).

It's not uncommon for the autos in the 2nd gens to get up there in temps when towing a heavy load. 220...230...even 240 [>:] I don't really want to look at a pegged (or almost pegged) gauge when towing The mechanical gauge runs to 280, so it should be real easy to tell if there's a problem. Plus I like the fact that the mechanical gauge is full sweep.

IIRC, the factory gauges in the Silverados run even higher than 280 [>:] though I've never seen it get near it when plowing snow or towing a loaded dump trailer.

Your trans temp light will come on before you ever hit 250. Auto meter makes both full and half sweep electical gauges too.

I know they do, but not in the series that I want They don't have a full sweep electrical trans temp gauge. Only 100-250 half sweep.

The deep cast aluminum pan from Mopar has a fitting in the side for the sending unit. I plan on putting them on both at the same time. I had planned on doing it this summer, but with the price of premium pushing $3.00 a gallon the truck might not get driven or modded as much as I'd like [:'(] I might spend the $$$ on a cam for my Grand Prix instead. I can still get 26-28mpg city/highway with that...cammed...and running premium, compared to the truck's 13.5mpg UNLOADED with very little city driving [>:]
