Default A-piller gauges??

I don't know if anyone has done it yet but I just now thought of it. Can a person take a set of a-piller gauges out of a second generation ram cummins and put in a half ton. The gauges wouldn't really be any use, but I just think that it would look pretty cool. Anyone know where I could get one and what do you think it would look like or if would be a waste of money.

Well I just want one for looks. I think that it would look pretty sharp and it would be diffrent because no one would have anything like that around here. Does anyoneknow where I can get one of those gauges for the cummins, they should go in the same place in a 95 1/2 ton, as long as it is second generation.

Try here. http://www.glowshiftdirect.com/index...TS&Category=19

I'm sure there are plenty of others too.

Have to agree with crazy, already a blind spot. More stuff in the way unless you put usefull gauges in there. Trans. temp.

go to genosgarage.com .. If your not worried about getting 3 guages on an A pillar you should look at the one that fits over the steering column and has 2 gauges. Kinda neat looking, I wonder how it looks when installed

I think it would be useful...if you actually bought gauges and installed them so they WORKED. Otherwise you're just increasing your blindspot for looks...which is definitely NOT what gauges are for.

They DO make gauge pillars for ALL the 2nd gen rams. And you can get OTHER guages. The ones that you'd find in a cummins (Tranny temp, Boost, & EGT usually) wouldn't really be of any use for you as they're best suited for a turbo diesel tow rig.

I do some towing with my truck, and I plan on putting guages in mine eventually....
Mechanical oil pressure: Because the stock gauge is VERY inaccurate in the V10s, and aftermarket electric gauges aren't as accurate.
Mechanical Trans Temp: Because I use my truck primarily for towing/hauling. Electric trans temp gauges don't go high enough.
I'm undecided on my third gauge. It will either be a fuel pressure gauge or a differential temp. gauge.

Putting gauges in that are non-functioning is rather ricer-ish in my opinion. [8D]

I put the 3 guage pod in mine, it's no worse to see around the the pillar than it was without them.I installed tranny temp, boost and stoich guages,if you do install some, put some red lamps in the guages as red lite does not affect your nite vision [as us telescope people know],nor is it distracting while driving at nite.
