it is a 2000 1500 and the measurments were from the tire to the rear part of the fender
You may be able to fit them. Do you have pictures?

I can tell you if you'll fit them by looking at the pictures.

they dont measure a true 14.5. they are more like 12.75-13"

but I still rub them when flexed and the wheel turned.

Let me see if I have any pictures of it on flat ground.

here is my truck with the hawgs on flat ground with the tires straight.

I clear them pretty good. But I think in this picture I still had my 3" coils in.

ok

to post pictures you have to host the picture at another site or donate to the site. or you can email them to someone and they can post them for you.
I think my eamil is in my profile.

when you lift the truck you will get what ever lift amount the kit states you get (plus or minus .5"s).
you wil gain some height from your tires if your going taller.

I put 36x14.5 hawgs in my sig because thats what they say on the tire. But almost any tire you measure will not be true measuements.
Alot of time when they measure width they dont measure tred width they measur over all width on the recomended rim size. On a 15x8 rim you'll have less sidwall bulge.

It all depends what kind of 38 you get. If you get a bias ply tire or a bogger you'll have no teeth left (assuming you have some to begin with).
