markings on pistons

i have the number 030 what does this mean that it was bored? and the motor has probley been rebuilt already?

IT,S BEEN BORED .030" OVERSIZE

dont know if it was done "properly" but it means its been rebuilt and bored over...

Speaking of which (not to jack thread) but whats the biggest bore you can go on these engines?

You are just determined to build that stroker aren't you lol. I wish I had the space and the money to put one together and I would be right there with you.

Yes, yes I am.. hehe.. I dont have the money at the moment to do it, nor the space, but I do have an uncle who is more than willing to help me, and hes got a good size shed and all the tools I would ever need... the only thing he doesnt have are a machine to bore it (but I would rather a machine shop do all that kinda work) or a cherry picker... but thats what a comealong is for right? LOL

Too bad I would have to do it in FL... looks like I gotta spend a month in Panama City Beach again... *Sarcastic Sigh*
