Well air tools are good and all but when you get the money, don't go out and buy the ****ty air tools. Go spring for the ones that cost a little bit more. I was 17 once, and finding a job was easy and I live in MI where unemployment is one of the highest in the nation. Oil changes are the easiest places to get jobs at... Sounds like you're mechanically capable too. If not try getting a job at your local parts store.
