thats been around for a long time. But its a band aid and it also puts stress on the sector shaft.
I had one and took it off and didnt notice a difference. If your steering components are new, good and tight you dont need it. If you do a lot of offroading and modify the bracing bracket than it will save some steer boxes

is the one ton steering box the same as the 3/4 ton.a local steering guy will only warranty a rebuilt box for 1 year but 3 years with the brace.

The 1 ton box is a fixed ratio and the 3/4 box is the same as the 1/2 ton box (variable ratio).

THis local guy hasnt looked under a truck while someone turns the wheel apparently. If you put one of those braces on and have someone turn the wheel while you're under there you can see the brace felxing on the sector shaft. BAD news. If he did than he wouldnt have a different waranty.

If I were you I would either get a PSC box or go to advanced auto and get a 1 ton box with a lifetime warranty. With the advanced auto box, it may be a pile of junk that you have to replce every year but at least you dont have to pay for it.

But if you want a box that you dont want to mess with again definatley go PSC

You can find the PSC boxes here: http://www.pscmotorsports.com/index.php?cPath=98_99

I'm pretty sure they ship to Canada.
