Default Fog Lights?

So yeah, the front of my truck is kinda lame without the fog lights, I measured them and found it was a 4 inch hole with a 3 inch rear. What kind of fog lights did you guys put in your truck (aftermarket) ... size? Did you use a relay and wire them up to your stock headlights or put in a new switch? I searched the forums for people who have put in fog lights, but never found out instructions on how you mounted them. That would be helpful too... Thanks a bunch!

go to auto zone they have some 4 inchers for 40 bucks, but you have to mount them in the opening next to the stock location. look at my pics i think i have one up there with the lights. if not i'll put one up. or i can email it to you.

oh they are hid impersonators so they are brighter than stock and a little whiter. make a hell of a lot of difference driving at night. oh they are DOT approved too.

Or if you want it to look factory, you can go to ebay and get these. They come with the bulb. Just don't get the ones with the ridged lenses from the 97's.

hmm, anyone ever bought the aftermarket ones from like autozone or anything (like pictured above) and got it to work with the stock holes? I dont want to use the square holes up, and on mine someone had some foglights mounted there, because theres sticky crap all over it =( but thats fine because i'm gonna use some grill inserts there anyways =)

I have been looking too and came across these: Pilot fog lights for 94-01 Dodge Ram Except Dually & Diesel, Pilot (Non-OEM) Blue Lens/Amber Beam Foglight Kit. They come in blue or clear.

These lights look similar to the OEM lights. Kit comes complete with wiring harness, relays, mounting brackets, 55 Watt Halogen H3 bulb lights and switch. Pilot's custom series lights are designed to give an O.E look to your vehicle. The brackets have been engineered to mount easily on the vehicle specific applications.

Now the only thing I don't get is that they also claim it fits 1994-01 Dodge Ram 1500/2500/3500 WITHOUT Transmission Cooler, NOT Diesel or Dually. Why would the trans cooler have any effect in mounting these as both the stock mounting holes are outside on either side of the cooler and they fit into that plastic "pocket" anyway so I don't see having enough room or clearance as being an issue.

Here's a Link to one website I found them at:http://www.ultimateautoaccessories.c...t_Code=PL-114C

Pep Boys also has them in there online catalog but it was a PIA to find them I did a search: "Fog light" or use this LINK

Pilots website was also a PIA to find and there site is under construction but they do have location and contact info for those interested:Pilot Automotive

I think they are talking about the aux trans cooler on some heavy duty models that have the aux trans cooler in front of the condensor. if you have your trans lines running into the radiator or running in between the condensor and radiator, then you should be good.

Hmm, i should look into those

daystars?

you won't be able to fit a 4 inch light in the stock hole from autozone. that's where i got mine and they are the only 4inchers they sell. no way in hell could you get them to fit. unless you did some serious modification to the stock plastic. hence i put them in the squares.
