Well I got a chance to install my Jimmy Jammers.
These are steal plates custom made for the Ram that fit inside the door to stop thieves from jamming a scew driver up under the handle and getting into the truck.
If you recall I just got my truck back from the shop a while ago. This was the 2nd attempted theft on my truck.
I found these Jimmy Jammers on the net and I installed them myself.
The whole thing took about an hour. I must say the first door was a bitch. Once you know what you are doing it goes quite smoothly.
The right hand door took me no time at all.
You do have to take off a bracket so that you can slide the jammer up in place. The instructions say you don't have to but it sure is A LOT easier if you do.
Check out my install pics if you like.
I used a magnet scewdriver just incase I dropped one of the nuts... and I almost did!

Check out the website... a picture is worth $$$$
The bad guys can get into ANY vehicle with door handles like on the 99 Ram, Ford and Chevy have them too.
The whole idea is to slow them down from getting in... make them move to the next vehicle.
Mine was JAMMED during broad daylight between 10am - 2pm in a grocery store parking lot!
They would not smash the window in this situation.
If they smash the window they are going to make a BIG NOISE and create a lot of attention.
