Hi my first post here Just want to say hi great forum. I have a chance to get a K&N FIPK kit 1517-2 its off of a 2000 dodge dakota 5.9 what i would like to know is would it fit in my 2001 ram 5.9 ? The k&N site lists part# 1511-2 for my truck anyone have any experience with this Thanks

 

You would be able to get it over the throttle body, however i do not think that the heatshield/filter will reach the front of the engine compartment like it should. you could always just have the filter and stuff, but it might hinder more than help if its sucking the hot air from the exhaust manifolds. Just my 2 cents
