Default Water on passenger side floor.

Whenever I drive my truck for a long time I am getting water on the passanger side floor. The carpet gets really warm then gets socked with water. Also there is water dripping out of the bottom of my car when I park???

What could it be??

Heater hose loose going into heater core. Blowing water/antifreeze through firewall and leaking down through ducts.

Heater core leaking. Leaking water/antifreeze in floor from under dash/ducts.

Chopper 1 has it right, probable heater core leaking. Plus the water is not draining outside because the outside drain hose for condensation is either disconnected or plugged up. If you are really lucky, you may be able to unplug the hose by blowing air up through it. You will find it underneath the passenger side of the cab about where the floor meets the firewall. Just look for a hose hanging down. The original purpose of the hose is to allow condensation to escape from the A/C-heater box under the dash. If the water on your carpet smells like antifreeze, its a heater core leak. If it is just plain water, You got lucky-just get the hose opened up. BTW, ultimately it will plug up again unless the heater box is cleaned out. HTH, Alex

I agree with the above statements. My dakota would do the EXACT same thing and it turned out to be a cracked heater core., although i didnt notice any particular smell like antifreeze.

Redone4X4, I like the disclaimer on the body lift.

I know that it takes about 10 hours to replace a heater core in a Ram. Hopefully its just the hoses and not the core.
