Hello everyone, my name is KIKI and I have a 1999 Dodge Ram 4X4 318 5.2L . I have my truck pretty spiffy, JBA Headers, MSD ignition, coil, wires. Power Raid TBI Spacer, Jet stage 2 chip, K&N air filter system. I am Overhauling my motor butIam stuck in finding a good cam and the right one too. Can someone point me in the right direction. Most of my parts Im geeting themthru Summit Racing.
welcome to the club here. you should pm steve00. search around the forum he's been posting about his new truck. i'm not sure if he did any cam work or not but he'd be the one to ask.
vipergts... you post too much.

Take your TB spacer off and sell it. They are worthless on a MPI engine. For a cam I would call Hughes or KRC. Hughes first because they will talk your ear off about it, and you will learn something, then if you want to shop go for it.

I agree with the removing the TB spacer recommendation. I also suggest removing the jet chip and picking up a power programmer (superchips or the other one...can't remember the brand). The jet does nothing for performance...the programmer will give you some noticeable gains

they are useless because all they do is put the throttle body further from the intake port. creating in essence a longer plastic tube, well the same effect anyway. it just makes the air travel further to get in the engine. it won't mix the air and fuel before entering the intake like a carb does or a throttle body injection.
if anything it's hurting your engine. well you might not notice it but it's for sure not helping. a guy did a study with them a bit ago just search around it's there.
pretty much yeah it's a paperweight.
