headlight switch on my 97 cost $10 on ebay, was three screws, two wire harnesses that plug in, and about 20 min.

what year?

easy,,, carefully pop off the dash bezel (black suround the dresses up the gauges and steroe etc etc) a couple of screws on the switch , pull it out and unplug the harness on the back... reverse install... easy!!!! check ebay first .. prolly get a better deal... for my 01 (newer dash style) the switch crapped out on me too... it wouldnt pull out and turn on the fogs for me (factory fogs factory fog light switch ON the headlight switch) so i went to the dealer 140 bux for a new one... 65 bux shipped brand new mopar part off ebay!

On mine I had to take the ash tray, lighter and drink holder out. Yours should have the drink holder down under the dash if you have the switch in you headlight switch. Tilt the steering wheel down and put shifter in 1st for room to work while finessing the cover off. The clips around the top and left side are a good place to start popping loose. Not sure what all your dash covers verses a 97, but was not hard unless you don't have a tilt wheel. If something stops it from coming off, take it loose.

Wasn't hard at all I got one fairly cheap although a lot more than your $10 but I got a new OEM one fairly cheap compared to regular dealer price as my work gets a good price from the dealer. I just installed it in about 5 min. It wasn't at all hard. I wasn't sure if the dash bezel piece just snapped off or if it had screws hidden was my biggest concern. Luckily it just snapped off.

I now have the cruise control switch really loose and feels like it's about to break off. Any idea on how to fix this or how to change it out? Do you have to take the airbag off to get to it? Any idea on how much this will cost me?

Mine is an 01 but here the dealer retail was only $66. That price is a fricken rip off.

If you add some info to your signature under your profile it will help with future questions. Year, motor, trans., etc.
