Default paint question

anyone know what "brand" DC used to spray the trucks with? PPG, Lucint? any ideas? gonna do some painting and id like to use the same brand/color code if i could thanks!

I know that on that label under the hood, It should have the code for your paint job. I know mine is pg8

Not 100%, but my buddy paints at a Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep dealer, and they use PPG...all of the DC dealers I've been in use PPG, whether or not that means it's OE, not sure. I can ask him tonight if you'd like.

According to him, the big 3 (GM, Ford, Chrysler) are all PPG.

I got mine from www.expresspaint.com and it is a complete 100% match. Its really expensive though, deffenitially professional quality. If you prime and put a few coats on then clearcoat it, I'm confident it would last a really long time. Mine was $50 for a 1/2 pint! But keep in mind you have to add that thinner stuff at 50/50 so you really get twice as much out of it.
