i am thinking of installing a dump bed on a 1994 dodge 1500 for landscaping purposes, cleanups etc.. can anyone tell me if the truck can handle this sort of abuse? i am not sure what the max loads are and such.

Our first Ram was stolen and the thief used the bed to make it into a dump truck so Im sure it is possible

 

how much weight are you looking to haul, can the GVW rating on the truck handle it. How are you planning to power the dump?

What transmission do you have (auto or stick)?, motor size?, rear gear ratio?

 

TRUCKS the TV show just covered this a few weeks ago. there is an "easy to install" kit available, and man that would be handy sometimes! good luck n search the net maybe!
