Default paint

I just drove over some wet paint and it goes all the way down the truck. Is there anything i can use to get rid of it without harming the clearcoat. I already tried the clay and it did not work.

fingernails and a lot of patience my friend, trust me, when i came home with the passenger side covered in tar, i about cried, then i busted out the dry microfiber cloth and worked on it for 4 hours...

Yeah it sucked, but with tar that was basically the only way, with paint, i'm suprised the clay didnt take it out...

That sucks!!!!!!!!!!!!

You could take it by a body shop and ask them. They might actually tell you what you could use.

did you try some rubbing compound? Make sure you wash your truck afterwards to get it all off if you do.

could the rubbing compound just smear the paint instead of taking it off?

I got yellow road paint all over my truck once. I took it down to the body shop and they suggested Lacquer Thinner. I used it and it worked great but it will need to be waxed after you get done. Just get a rag and some lacquer and gently rub it. It won't hard the clearcoat but it will take the wax off. Works pretty quick too.
