RE: Dodge Ram Van 1500 Fogup
Thanx, but I'll have to fix the core. I was hoping it was covered under a hidden secret recall.
My van now has 22,000 miles and it has some problems.
In 1999 it was recalled for defective airbags.
It also has a broken heater/ac fan switch and the rear speakers dont work.

RE: Dodge Ram Van 1500 Fogup
I just had my van fixed and I found out the real problem.
In 1999 I put some loose pocket change on the dashboard and some of the coins slid off onto the floor.
One nickle coin somehow went into the vent hole and it rattled around inside for years and I was never able to fish it out.
It somehow got into the heater core and rattled around and it punched a hole because every time I hit a bump here it would dig a little deeper into the core radiator fins.
The mechanic charged $250 to fix the core and there is no more fogup.
A 5 cent coin caused $250 in damage.
Everyone wants to buy my van. They say it is very rare to find a 1998 Dodge Ram Van 1500 with only 22,000 miles on it.
They regard it like a virgin or slightly used.
