Default header gasket/ lead donuts

holy crap.... im gonna sue Vic just for pissing me off!!!!!!!

got an exhaust leak...cant tell where its at b/c it only makes the poping noise when its under a load (driving in OD) .. cant find the nosie at idle... so im gonna replace the header gaskets and the lead donuts at the collector end of the headers...

when i replaced the FIRST set of headers i noticed the lead donuts were rotted pretty good and the metal netting inside of them were showing... so i would assume that these are the same way.... do i have any options on replacing the lead donuts with something more durable?

also i know napa makes a good set of header gaskets but the fella at the desk cant seem to find them in his computer... anyone got a P number for me?

any inputs would be great... im getting REALLY REALLY tired of these damn headers...when they are a bit more rusted im gonna raise all sorts of HELL at edelbrock..these are the second set that are on and are rusting ... i think im going gibson next..... Vic .,, if your reading this,.... im pissed dude!

I feel for you bro...I got me a set of cerma-coated shorties on my 98 5.9L. 2 years later they are cracking. For header gaskets I used Percy's "dead-soft" aluminum for SB Chrysler. Jegs Part #760-66037 for $34.99. A little expensive but, re-useable and won't burnout. Also, go for a set of ARP stainless header bolts 5/16" X 1.00" with the 12 point head. 3/4" are a little short with the thicker header gaskets. I don't have a part # for the bolts....When I have the money I'am going for a set of stainless Gibson headers this time around...Good luck.
