Been workin with 'em for years, and love every minute of it!!!
One piece of advice from someone who teaches (this only applies if your state does this, each one is different), take the Elementary Education Praxis and any middle level subject Praxis tests you can. It makes life (i.e. job security and employment options) alot easier when you are certified in a few different areas rather than in just one. In PA, all you have to do is pass the Praxis tests and you get a cert. I carry three different certs and it made finding a job way easier.

If you are ever in SE PA and looking for a job teaching, let me know, I could you hook you up with some people who can help you. Good luck!

Thanks for the tip ORT!!! Unfortunatly Wisconsin already requires that I take the Praxis tests for certification, but WI also requires proof that I took the classes at the University for that particular area. Thanks for the tips but like you said, each state is different. And I'll defintely let you know if I ever get over to SE PA looking for a teaching job. Thanks!!!!

System Administrator on Sun Microsystems' servers, I'm a contractor. I always worked with electronics or computers except in 1998 when I worked 3 months as life guard and lived in a very small "house" on the beach in Tuscany: the best 3 months of my life

Actually living in Lake Como and working in Milan (90 minutes to go to work by train, the same to get back), dreaming to get a job in the USA maybe as a truck driver but I never put my *** on a 18 wheeler and usually my wifes drives the Ram, I could even start an Italian restaurant: my wife is really good at cooking. Ooops, it looks like I'm good for nothing except computers LOL

I USED TO WORK IN A BRAKE FACTORY FOR ABOUT TEN YEARS AND THEN GOT NERVOUS because of it going to china and it really sucked so i went into business with my dad doing heating and cooling and have been doing that for about seven years now and we also started storage shed business and it is going good also and now we are going to start building houses as a third business....so we stay busy too.....but it took a long road to get there too so like the one fellow said if you are young and are going to school ...stay there....if you are not in school learning something then you need to get there and learn something you can take anywhere with you.
