does anyone know if the heater hoses are interchangeable?
can either one go to either part of the block? Its just going to a small core right? does flow direction matter?

also how does the heater hose attach to the water pump? i just have a hole there, is there a fitting?

The one on the third pic just holds your 2 trans lines that go to the cooler. Its not very nessacary expecially if your gonna bend your own trans lines.

You have to buy a small metal pipe that has an o-ring on it and just pops into the water pump. $10 at any parts store, just had to get one the other day.

gotta love disassembling something then putting it back together and having a left over bolt. now where the hell did that bolt come from?

my roommate has a bucket full of bolts and stuff that he has no idea where they came off. really amusing to me. oh and he leaves bolts floating around in his engine bay of his dd... rattle rattle rattle as it turns... that's really funny.

It will be easy to tell, one hose is bigger then the other. The heater hose closest to the water pump area usually will be the pushing hose, or output I guess you could say, the other one will be intake or return, I dont think it matters to much, but you dont want the heater water to have to push up through the heater core, you want it to flow down through it. Unless of course yours has the hoses side by side, then I dont think it really matters much.
