Default 5.2 Header Help

I am lookin for some input on headers...

I have a 1996 Ram 1500 4X4 with a 5.2.

I have ordered a magnaflow exhaust and magnaflow cat-back. The only other mod I have right now is a K&N intake.

I live in the Northeast (near NYC) so rust is a concern.

I want to order a set of bolt on shorty headers. I really like the Gibson stainless headers but they are a little pricey... anyone ever use the nickel plated gibson's?

Anyone have any other headers they would recommend or suggest I stay away from?

What about these...

You're going to be happy with the magnaflow/carsound direct-fit hi-flow converter. That will make a difference in power/sound alone. I spent the money on JBA titanium ceramic coat headers. I went thru AJUSA.com. They aren't the fastest shippers (I don't think they keep stock), but have great pricing.

Check with them. My part # was 1945S-1JT for $591.00 (list for ~$800). And throw away the JBA gaskets and buy some good fiber/metal ones. They are worth the price and will last forever. From all the things I've done to my truck, I think that the exhaust has made the most impact. Don't skimp on $$$....

If you get these, we will basically have the same setup. I eventually had an exhaust shop cutout my magnaflow muffler and install a Flowmaster super 40 (huge diff in sound level, it's beautiful!). All depends on whether you want sound only when you get into it or all the time.

Good luck.

I'm not sure I'd go with the generic ebay headers. I've heard some people say good things about them...and some people say not so good things about them.

JBA makes good headers. Gibsons are also nice...as well as Borlas.

Thanks for the input guys... but I went ahead and got the Ebay headers...

They are Top-Speed Pro-1 headers...

I did a search on this forum and this is what I found...

https://dodgeforum.com/m_380613/tm.htm

I know... I know... I should not have just gotten the JBA's or Gibsons... but I honestly think I have spend too much already and needed to chill out.

I really wanted either the JBA's or the Gibsons but took a chance on these.

I am not going to install them till the end of the month and I will let everyone know how it worked out!!

All depends on whether you want sound only when you get into it or all the time.

Good luck.
Which is loud all the time and which is only loud when you get on it ????

Are you saying the Top-Speed headers are made by pacesetter?
