Default interesting oil change

so i got an oil change today.
they checked the dip stick and said it was over full.
I said, dont you need to wait a few seconds for it to settle.
they checked it again, no oil at all on stick.

they were curious so they measured how much oil came out of the engine.
1.5 quarts
[sm=confused06.gif]
it took a lil more than 5 to refill it.
so it was down by 3.5 quarts.

oh boy

Did you ever lose oil pressure before the oil change. I can't imagine 1.5 quarts being enough to supply the required amount into the pump.

yeah, when it starts running at 30 psi constant it is ussually down 1.5 quarts.
I hit the brakes hard and stopped while turning right, oil pressure deep sixed and the check gauges flashed on.

that is when I decided to go for the oil change. it was at 3500 miles since last change.

Not to freak you out or anything, but get that stuff checked. I was burning almost that much and I didnt know it!!! The CAT covered it up (and no i'm not kidding) I wound up with a new motor from Dodge cause my rings were SHOT!!! That was with only 75000 miles on the motor. If the plenum tests come back good, then have them run compression tests. You'll probly have to pay for the tests but trust me its worth it!!! Good Luck!!!

considering the way the truck is running, I would not be suprised.
I have not run compression tests yet, because I hate doing it, and I am lazy.
i have to take it to dodge to have the recalled hood latch replaced, maybe I will have them check it out.

cyl no 7 goes through spark plugs every 1500 miles, last one it completely blew the internals off the plug.
