Damp Weather/Slow Starting
After a fairly hard or long rain the '99 Ram 360 engine I have will crank over about 5 seconds before starting instead of firing right off. After initial startup it will restart just fine. On dry days I don't seem to have this problem.
So many possibilities I don't know where to start. I did a search here but couldn't come up with a match. Any aid will be appreciated and thanks in advance.

I seem to remember there being an issue with people getting some water leakage into their motors, but I don't remember how. Sorry...I don't do a lot of reading on V8 gassers. [>:]

I would venture towards a tune-up...cap, rotor, wires, and plugs if they haven't been changed lately...possible moistue in the cap...once the rotor and terminals in the cap get a few 50,000 volt sparks, it evaporates any moisture, letting it start right up immediately following
