where can i pick up a haynes manual in person? i mean as in not ordering it online. thanx. (checked autozone but didnt see it. should i go to NAPA or something like that?)

I got mine at Advanced Auto, but NAPA and Autozone should have them also. If you don't see it on the shelf, ask a salesperson, they should be able to order it in for you. Also, check the Merry Christmas post at the top of this forum (2nd Gen) in the sticky section.

The Chilton seems fine to me, I just always double check with the service manual thats at the top of the forum. Kragen (different in other places) has a good selection of the Chilton manuals. Never read Haynes, but I think Borders has them. Hope this helps

Both manuals try to achieve the same thing but, yes, they are different for some reason. They more than usually have different torque values but are relatively close to a shop manual. I like having both to referrence each other with, although, I prefer the Haynes.

Haynes and Chilton get their stuff from the same place. The place that steve00ram360 graced us all with last Christmas.... up in the sticky section.

thanx guys


i had always thought i wouldnt need one, till this past week i helped a buddy change his brakes on an integra....... the haynes manual for that car made it go by in about an hour, so i realized the value of one. thanx again for the advice, ill probably pick up both if their not overpriced
