Hey guys need some info. I have a 98 ram 1500 4x4 single cab with the 360. I am looking at 1972 holiday rambler slide in camper. It is fully loaded with a/c, refigerator, restroom and shower. It sticks out about 3ft off the back.I know the guy pulled a fith-wheel with it. Would it be ok to put in the truck I might need airbags for the rear, but will the truck handle it?

 

I have hauled a few campers around, but all with 3/4 ton trucks. This is my current one and it wieghts around 900KGs dry ( I tihnk, dont quote me on that). It too has all the amenities but no A/C.



I hauled that on a reg cab long box 3/4 ton chevy with a 350 and 4.10 gears through the mountain with a 6000 lb trailer in tow. But then again that was a 3/4 ton and geared and equiped to tow.

 

Looks like the trailer is about 3,500lbs. What can the truck handle?
