Edelbrock shortys................Crap. I bought the ceram ones for my 1998 5.9L. The drivers side got already three cracks in it after two years. I called Edelbrock and asked if they can replace or repair them, nope. Only one year warranty. When I get the money up I'am going for the Gibson stainless. The edelbrocks I'll use as a boat anchor....

FWIW (for what it's worth) I researched headers long and hard (lots of down time in the sand), and the gibson stainless headers are by far the best bang for the buck. They use 3/8 thick flanges so they don't warp and trash gaskets constantly, they are 16 gauge stainless tubes, so they won't crack or distort, and they arn't much more than the ti-tech coated 'brocks. Just my $.02

That's the same makeup of my Edelbrock shorties and I also got ceramic coating too, for about the same price as Gibson. So overall, I think the Edelbrocks are a better bang for the buck then the gibsons. Also, the Edelbrocks are 1 5/8" primaries. Gibson and others are only 1 1/2".

I see a few people posting that their Edelbrocks suck. I have been extrememly happy with mine, so there is definelty various opinons. I have read bad things about Gibson, JBA, and about every other header out there. Guess it just depends on the specific set you get, no matter who made them.

I think my two sets were the last batch made on the friday afternoon at the plant, right before a 4 day weekend. LOL. Or the QA supervisor called in sick that day.

LOL, uuhh, my opinion I would say spend your money on Gibsons. What I was implying in my post was that my batch of headers were on the line and were the last ones done before a 4 day weekend, meaning, no one gave a crap about them, bad batch.... oooohhh nevermind

Tani, no novel necessary, everyone knows my opinion.
