Good Excuse For Bad Gas Mileage....
Took a 720 mile trip Sunday....360 with a empty trailer, 360 with a full one. Averaged 11.8 mpg with the empty trailer at about 68 mph. Averaged 11.6 with it full and about 70 mph. Pulled great - thanks to my mods. Here's the full pic of my truck with my new toy behind it.....

Yeah, I know it's a Chevy....but the price was right and it has a bad-*** 396 in it. [sm=gears.gif] Couldn't pass it up. You may all post your Chevy jokes now if you wish......[sm=escape.gif]

Nice car
Question on the trailer.
I have a 74 caddy that is 6000 pounds. I am wondering if I should dolly it and let some of the weight stay on the car. or - If i should get a trailer like yours and let the car carrier handle all 6000 pounds. Im not sure what would be best due to the weight of the car. What would you suggest?
thx

Trailer looked like shiiite, but pulled real nice. Good surge brakes also.
Shott - if I told ya how good of a deal, I'd have to kill ya! LOL It's a '71 SS with a '68 396 with a TH400 tranny and 4.11 12 bolt rear. I have to find out most of the dope on the car myself - as the seller had bought it a couple years ago for a collector and didn't get all the dope on whats in the motor, etc. I have been spending time on a forum for those cars as I try to determine exactly what I have. It's looking like it is one hell of a "street sleeper". The MSD box has a 7000 rpm chip in it and the cam is good from 3600 to 6800 rpms. Pretty stout for a big block. It has frame connecters, solid motor mounts, you name it. The fun part is discovering new things about it. I have a few things to fix to get it to pass inspection - then it will be cruisin the street lookin for rice grinders on nice days! [sm=crossbonesgif.gif][sm=badbadbad.gif]

I love those cars, good buy!!!
