Mopar... how do you "break in" a torque converter? the ones i'm looking at are at BD-Power.com and TCI. TCI's are under $500 bux but the BD-Powers are over $1k... ouch. but they are supposed to be bullet proof

Here is a cut and paste from aps:
Break in on converters is 5000 miles to achieve maximum performance. That does not imply that you can not have fun immediately, just expect more performance as it wears in. This is due to the exceptionally reliable and HD Torque Converter Clutch (Lockup Clutch). A lesser clutch, such as Kevlar or other inferior TQ converter clutches, will give you a faster break in at the expense of long term reliability.
The wheels are ProComp Extreme Alloy's 1023. I have them but they arn't on the truck yet. Still waiting on the tires. That was a chop/siggy someone did for me. But it will look like that.
