Default plug wires

hey guys I am installing new plug wires on my 99 ram 318, but my new wires boots are about an inch shorter than my originals, so when I push the boot on to the plug the outer rubber ring of the boot is forced into the plug heat shield. is this a problem? Thanks Darren

Default RE: plug wires

Not much of a problem as long as you know the wire is making contact. You can always pull the heat sheilds off as a last resort. Just grab the edge with a pair of pliers and pull them off. They just slip in the holes anyway. But if you do make sure you wires are up away from the manifolds.
