Does anyone have a good solution for the AC. It sounds like the compressor is working but it is only blowing warm air. I dont know if it is somrthing I can fix myself or if it is a dealer problem. The truck has 191000 on it so its not a big concern but would be nice. Thanks

Open the windows...park in the shade.

There's no way to diagnose the problem over the internet, best to at least pay the $30-$50 to have it leak checked...then go from there. If it's the evaporator, good luck to ya, might as well start pulling the dash now :P

You can leak check it yourself. Just go to NAPA, Advance, etc. etc. , and get the leak check stuff. You put it in run the a/c and see where the dye shows up..... or you can do as I did and go straight to the leak stop stuff. It's been holding fine for me for ~3 weeks now. A/C is blowing plenty cold after having filled it once, having the refrigerant all leak out, and refilling it with the 134a that's cut with oil and stop leak.

Go to Napa or Autozone and get a can or two of 134 and on of these hose kits with the gauge.

Add a can or two every spring. Not a fix but will get cold air. Or do the right thing and use the die to find the leak and fix it.

All these are good ideas - I'll add one more. I actually managed to OVERFILL mine a couple years ago, and it got worse (warmer). I took it to Jiffy Lube where they had a machine to do it right. It was like $99 but I haven't had a problem since. You might try someplace like that.
