Dodge Ram at Fraser Island
We've just come back from Fraser Island (the largest sand Island in the World).
We went up for 10 days fishing and 4x4ing, and were a bit worried how the Dodge Ram would go in the soft sand. Previously we had a F150 which went OK but struggled through one section of very soft loose sand at Indian Head. Well the truck went extremely well, even with a smaller V8 and towing a camper van. Especially went well over the inland tracks, across the soft sand and tree roots. Went like a dream on the beach and didn't even get hot.
The fishing competition was put on by Toyota and even the Toyota dealers were asking about the truck.
It was a top holiday and we were very impressed with the truck.
Cheers
Darryl

That's good to hear.
I use to do a lot of soft sand runs on the beach here in New England and I found throttle control and tires were two controlable factors that make or break a beach run.
I should dig out my pictures of when I buried my 1978 blazer to the frame rails. Too much throttle and too aggressive trend pattern on the tire, trying to turn too tight.
