MMO update from a honda owner...
yeah techron is good stuff but it's more of a solvent then a lubricant. my thought was to lubricate the injectors with the mmo. I put an octane booster and FI cleaner in her tank and she got 18.5 mpg. however it's not an economical option since it needs to be added every tank for the boost in milage.

you can find MMO @ autoparts stores and also Walmart has it.
Also for those interested, I didnt put the mmo in the wifes tank yet, she's heading to the Bay Area today and that's about 250 miles of solid freway driving. I felt that would have skewed the test results. I need to make sure she's on a normal schedule for the results to be as comparitively accurate as possible.
The Chevron with the techron additive is probably why you get better milage with chevron gas... helps for a more complete burn IMO...

Just filled up today and I'm getting 31mpg in the Cavalier. Funny, as Consumer Reports rated the Cavalier as a car that gets poor mileage. 5-speed and I'm not running the A/C. I ain't bitchin.
from my daughter...
"hey dad, just to let you know i filled up my tank and
my mpg went from 29.29 to 29.89, and my driving was
pretty crappy/sloppy this tank. talk to ya later
luv Tey"
and the wife will be filling up this morning after her long trip to the bay area... she commented that she drove 345 miles before noticing the low fuel light was on... which is about 25~30 more miles than she normally does according to her.
She just e-mailed me that she got 18.98 mpg, and commented that almost all of it was at normal hiway speeds and not stop & go traffic like last week (new hours puts her out of the heavy traffic times). I'm gonna have a look at her book where she keeps her milage to find out what she did last year at this time (same hours & job location).
anyway's just thought i'd throw this update at you guys...
