A Dana 44 is a Dana 44 as far as I know. Doesnt matter if it is under a jeep, Dodge, Chevy, and they are even is some Fords. The internal parts are the same.

depending on what size gears you want.. i'd go to a junk yard and try finding 4.10's out of a junked ram offroad.. or better yet just buy the whole front and rear end (depending of the price of course) and just switch out your rears.. do it all yourself and wont have to pay somebody 500 + dollars for labor when you can just replace the entire rear end.. i did that to my old truck and saved a whole lot of money.. blew the rear out so i bought a used one out of a junked truck used for parts... 125 bucks and took 2 hours to drop the rear and hook the other one up

yeah well i live in a border town and they are going to do the job across in mexico, over there they charge 20 dollars the hour so it wont be that bad, plus they have a lot of experince they do mostly all the trucks that need them. so i guess im a bit lucky.

actually there is a difference. The pinion bearinging is different.

The master install kits are different than the other D44. If you look at the install kits Yukon offers one for the 94-01 dodge D44. The Pinion bearing is different than the rest of the D44s.

I know this because genuine gear doesnt offer a seperate one for the dodges and that is what I ordered when I did mine. Needless to say I wasnt able to finish my gears that weekend because of it.
