I have a 98 1500 4WD and the back up lights do not work. The fuse blows immediately when transmission is put into reverse. The problem is not the bulbs or the bulb sockets and I cannot locate a short along the frame wiring harness. I noticed on a previous post that the problem might be the reverse switch located on the transmission. First, does anyone know the exact location of the switch on the transmission and how difficult is the access. I would believe someone may have previously experienced and diagnosed the problem as several people have made similar posts. Any help appreciated.
