98 Dodge Ram 5.2 Help....
Its a long story soo be prepared to read.... Well i turned 16 May 25 and my dad bought me a 98 dodge ram (all black) with 90,000 miles on it with a 5.2 v8 (i wish i had the 5.9).... Well we did some customizing.. I replicated the ss/t Rally stripes with 2 Lime Green racing stripes and a reverse Dodge sticker on the back (green letters on black and black on green stripe). The a new billet grille. A roll pan where the stripes also go on and a new front body kit. And i slapped the stock ss/t rims on there. IT looks gorgeous i will have pics soon. Well Just stock the performance sucked... sorry... so i got a engine and tranny TUNE UP. $550 and it still wasnt good. So i am putting some mods on here. so far i have a Metal electric intake blower ($110 off ebay), a pro choice superchip ($33), dual flowmaster 40's ($150). It ran great but.... my 1st gear totally ripped out. so im getting it fixed on monday and im also adding new headers, a polished throttle body, and a jet chip stage 2 on there. That might do the trick but im pretty sure im missing sum good upgrades. can anyone tell me anything else besides boring the engine out that would boost my performance noticably? Thanks guys and my races have been good. heres a list of what i beat of what they had on it.

Do your research before doing any more mods. 1st off the jet chips suck it's a waste of money because it wont even make a good paper weight.
if you want power, get some 1.7 roller rockers, yank off the intake and cut the runners down 1", add a K&N intake kit and swap out the filter for a 7x9" filter, replace the plenum with an aluminum one, get a good set of headers and go back to a single/dual out single flowmaster. w/o heavy mods, a dual out will kill your low end torque enough to make you unhappy. get a 50mm throttle body from the fastman. finaly when you realize your heads maybe cracked... get some r/t's or the HD's on there. hypertech for s/w.
also swap your timing chain. and put in a 180 deg t-stat

Sorry for the metal intake they call it a electric supercharger... all it does is force more air into the intake. it says a 45 hp gain... but on mine i got about a 15-20 but hey for 80 bucks you cant go wrong... just go to ebay and type in electric supercharger. They are universal!!!

I agree with Steve...do some research before you do anymore modding.I'm not sure what you got for your $550 tune-up either, but that sounds like you got taken there as well. [&:]
And no, the Titans aren't supercharged. The 5.6 that they run is a good motor. I wouldn't expect to be able to beat them without some decent mods
Not sure how you beat the guy with the 4.7 magnum either. He must not have known how to drive [&:]

No.....no you didn't. You didn't gain 15-20. You didn't even gain 1.5 to 2 [8D] They're junk! And that's $110 you could've put towards a decent mod like a fastman TB or K&N FIPK. The Jet chip is also JUNK! I'm also not sure what a "prochoice superchip" is, but I'm willing to put money on the fact that it's doing absolutely nothing for you...in fact, it may even be hurting your performance.

An electric supercharger is an electric supercharger....plastic...metal...makes no difference. They just plain don't work.
They're like Jet chips...or throttle body spacers...just another performance myth/gimmick that people shouldn't buy into. And the only way to remove the limiter is to get a Mopar Perf. PCM, Programmer, or to get your PCM re-flashed with performance software.
